When the Covid-19 pandemic began, Mauris Noronha – a social welfare worker traveled all the way to Shirdi (240+ km away from the city of Mumbai) just to serve the needy. He had been informed about the shortage of food resources in the area. Upon hearing about the need for food supplies, he assembled his resources and went there to serve the people. 

Since 2005, Mauris Noronha has been doing social work and his experience is almost 20 years.

    Mauris Noronha distributed free food supply kits along with groceries to the people of Shirdi by going door to door. There he distributed rations and groceries such as onions, potatoes and rice. With his help, families have been able to sustain themselves through the tough period of the lockdown. Mauris has traveled not just to Shirdi but also to other parts of Maharashtra.

As an NGO, Mauris Noronha is a single man who is doing community service to better the lives of the less fortunate in society. This man has been using his own personal funds and does not believe in depending on donations to serve the community. Mr. Noronha is an independent man trying to better the world through his kind acts of charity.
